TALAVERA- Of Chelsea, formerly of Puerto Rico, Ana C. Beloved daughter of Generosa Talavera of Boston and the late Angel Medina. Devoted mother of Johanna Medina of Chelsea, Sonia Diaz of Dorchester and Freddie Diaz of Roxbury. Dear sister of Fally, Luisa, Sonia, Estrelle, Miriam, Maria, Victor, Manuel, Julio, Carlos, Thomas, Carmita, Rosita and Chin Medina. Cherished grandmother of Janice, Alberto, Doris, Joshua, Alayssa and Adrianna. Also lovingly survived by her great granddaughter, Adalanie as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Friday, November 12th from 6-9 PM. Committal Services will be private.

Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and settling here in Chelsea 20 years ago, Ana, at 51 years of age, passed away Monday afternoon in the emergency room of Massachusetts General Hospital after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer that was diagnosed in November of last year.
