I met Jennie because of my friendship with her daughter Elisabeth. Over time, Jennie became my friend as well. She was kind, funny, shrewd and always shared her recipes. (You would be surprised how many people won't share.) She also would share favorite books, and once made an outfit for me that I wore to a Hanley family wedding.

Years later, when my mother died suddenly she and her daughters were there for me and I could not have worked through my loss without them.

I have many fond memories of family and holiday dinners in Jennie's house, and I will always cherish my memories of her.
