BUSBY- Of Malden, unexpectedly, February 24th, Richard L. Devoted son of Eleanor F. (Ruffin) Busby of Malden and the late Cecil C. Busby, Sr. Beloved brother of Cecil C. Busby, Jr. and his wife Carole of Concord, New Hampshire and Mildred Davenport-Robbins and her husband Michael of Malden. Cherished uncle of Reginald Busby of Lynn, Christopher Busby and Erika Busby both of Brockton, Sallone Nguyen and her husband Thomas of Nashua, New Hampshire, Sasha Davenport, Sylea Davenport, Shannon Robbins and Sabrina Robbins all of Malden and Sherard Robbins of Tuscon, AZ. Also lovingly survived by many great nieces and nephews and 1 great great nephew. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) Malden on Wednesday, March 1st at 12 Noon. Visitation with the family beginning at 11 AM. Committal Services will be private.
Born in Boston and a long time Malden resident, Richard passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 62. A "good soul" to everyone he met, Richard was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1973 were he excelled in basketball. He found his career as a musician, as both a singer and bass player, playing with various bands thoughout the New England area.
