McCabe, Karen J. (Solari)- Of Beverly and N. Ft. Myers, FL, unexpectedly, January 14th. Devoted wife of Charles L. McCabe. Beloved mother of Scott O'Malley and his wife Laney of Salem and Daniele O'Malley of Malden. Daughter of the late Richard K. Solari and Joyce (Wilkins) Antonelli. Sister of Daniel Antonelli of NH, Anthony Antonelli, Jr. of Norwood, John Antonelli of South Boston and the late Richard Solari and Lynn Marie Solari. Also lovingly survived by her grandchildren, Olivia and Jordan O'Malley as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden on Tuesday, January 24th at 10 AM . (Please meet directly at church) Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Committal Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the New England Organ Bank at www.neob.org/monetary-donations.
Born in Boston and a resident of Malden for many years until moving to Beverly, Karen passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning at the Boston Medical Center. She was currently working in the HR deptartment at Salem Hospital and previously worked for the Massachusetts Treasures Office. In her spare time, she enjoyed her home in Florida as well as reading, shopping, cruises, Las Vegas trips and Maine vacations, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
