ZAKRZEWSKI, Albert R., Jr.- Of Chelsea, July 12th. Devoted husband of the late Anne C. (Rae). Beloved father of Rose Ellen Zakrzewski, Janice Hudson and her husband Paul all of Chelsea and the late Karen Lindquist and her surviving husband Phillip of Florida. Dear brother of the late Joseph Zakrzewski and Anna Williams. Cherished grandfather of Hunter and Hayley Lindquist both of Florida. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Saturday, July 18th at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut St., Chelsea at 9:30 AM. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. A longtime Chelsea resident, Al passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital Sunday afternoon at the age of 86. For over 20 years, he worked as a shipwright at the Charlestown Navy Yard and then for over 10 years as a security guard for 1st National Bank and then Fleet Bank. An avid traveler to Bermuda, he was a sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Chelsea Lodge of Elks, a member also of the American Legion, PAV and DAV as well as the Chelsea Senior Center.
