DiGIOVANNI, Edward S.- Of Malden, unexpectedly, August 4th. Devoted son of Edward and Christine (DePatto) DiGiovanni of Malden. Beloved brother of Michael C. DiGiovanni of Malden. Loving boyfriend of Ariane DaSilva. Cherished grandson of Marie DePatto-Tassanari of Chelsea and the late Samuel DePatto, George Tassanari, Edward and Antoinetta DiGiovanni. Also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews as well as his dog, Noah. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 315 Main St., Malden on Tuesday morning, August 11th at 10 o'clock. (Please meet directly at Church). Visiting Hours will be held in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Monday from 5-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Born in Boston and a lifelong Malden resident, Edward passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. A graduate of Malden High School Class of 2010, during his years there, he was involved in the basketball and football programs. For the last 4 years, he has been working in the families business, Hub Foods, located in Chelsea.

We were so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Can't even imagine the pain you are suffering right now. We all loved Eddie and will remember him, Michael and both of you in our prayers. May Eddie be in heaven with his Grandparents enjoying an existence better than ours!

To all the Digiovanni family, I am so so sorry for the loss of your dear Eddie. It's so difficult when someone so young passes and we don't know why God chooses the ones he does but we can only hope and pray that God brought them to beautiful peaceful place that's much better than here on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May he rest in peace eternally. Someday you'll will see him again in heaven.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. Eddie was my son Sean's friend and at our home many times. He had a great sense of humor and a big smile that was contagious. He will be sorely missed. Your family is in our prayers.
