he Call to Duty
A call to duty is sent out
and the strong and the brave reply.
They do it for love of country,
So there's never a need to ask why.

They leave behind all that they love,
Their families, their homes and their lives,
Because to preserve these precious things
Is the goal for which each soldier strives.

So God bless our troops,
The courageous Jhon O'Brien a.k.a j.j

I am very saddened to hear about JJ passing. He was great friend and teammate when we played BB at Suffolk University. We quickly became friends and bonded being North Shore guys. I have great memories of JJ and I going to games together, picking one another up, hanging out laughing, etc. I can hear his voice and his wise cracks now. Thanks for the good memories JJ and your service to our country. I will see you again brother!

It is with great sadness that we offer our thoughts, prayers and condolences on the untimely passing of our nephew J.J. He was truly an amazing person and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

J.J. was the most respectful, pleasant, helpful and courteous young man to all, young and old alike. He lit up a room just walking in with his infectious smile and great personality. We feel so privileged to have him as our nephew.

We hope you will find comfort in these words:

Goodbyes are not forever
Goodbyes are not the end
They simply mean I'll miss you
Until we meet again

Rest in peace J.J.
Love, Aunt Nancy & Uncle Tom

Thank you for serving our country.

Dear Mike and Karen hearing about JJ shook me to my core I can't even begin to imagine the heartbreak that has gripped the two of you as well as the rest of your family. I want to tell you that coaching JJ was one of the best times in all of my years coaching . He was my favorite he always left it all on the field and that was remarkable because he was 8 to 12 years old and he knew what it took . When I saw that he served our country and all those medals and awards it didn't surprise me, he was all in. That's the JJ I knew almost 30 years ago. God Bless You J.J and the rest of the O'Brian Family. My thoughts and Prayers are with you.
