My condolence to Joe's family and other friends. I first met Joe many years ago while he was working details at Boston's Bull & Finch Pub (later to become the "Cheers" Bar). Our paths crossed again later in life while I was serving in the Suffolk County DA's Office. He will be missed.

It was a great honor to have known Joe for forty-two years. We first met in Boston in 1974, when I was just a boot Trooper and Joe was with Boston. We'd see each other over the years from time to time, too often at wakes and funerals, and then later found ourselves both working for the Middlesex Sheriff. I am so sorry to read of Joe's passing. I spent time with him when we both worked in downtown Boston. A great guy. My sincere condolences to the entire Donovan Family. May he rest in peace. Richie Stanton

You were a dear friend to me and I always enjoyed speaking to you by phone.

District One. I'm glad I saw you at the last Police reunion in May. Thanks for
