DOHERTY, Doris A. (McVane)- Of Malden, unexpectedly, October 15th. Devoted mother of Nancy Doherty and Stephen Doherty both of Malden and the late Ann Marie Eason. Lovingly survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Predeceased by 3 sisters. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Tuesday, October 20th at 10 AM. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Committal Services are private. Expressions of sympathy in Doris's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
A lifelong resident, Doris passed away unexpectedly at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital early Thursday morning. For over twenty years, she worked as an assembler at Automatice Radio on the Malden/Melrose line. After retiring from that job, she worked cleaning office buildings in downtown Boston.
